It was the tightest of wins, captained by M Nickson, with skips John Wright and Rob Saddler winning their matches.

Over 55's league away to Winscombe, 9th May
We continued our friendly hostilities with Winscombe, this time in the over 55's, on a very warm afternoon in which Banwell ran out convincing winners, winning on all rinks. Two rinks scored over thirty shots, so well done to those rinks. Winscombe Pioneers are a newly formed side with a good number of inexperienced players so very well done to them.
The scores were 147 to Banwell and 61 to Winscombe; match points were Banwell 20, Winscombe nil.

North 1 A team home to Bristol B, 11th May
The team suffered a narrow loss, with a score of 54-60. Skip J Wright scored the winning rink. Captain A Shattock picked up 2 points.
North 1 B Team away to Portishead RBL C, 11th May
The B team had a good match, with C Wilson and A Vickery as winning skips.The score was 61-51. Captain C Wilson picked up 10 points.
Shout out to Terry Coleman and Dave Williams who both refused to let the team down as late replacements, and struggled on despite the heat and all. A huge thanks, gents.
North Somerset Mixed League at home to Yatton, 12th May
It was an enjoyable afternoon as the rain held off to allow a tight win 22-18 against an experienced team from Yatton.
Shout out to Captain Wayne Butcher who delivered his first speech as captain impeccably.
