The club's ladies had a really good year this year. Led by Pamela Gibbons, we assembled a couple of teams for two of the ladies' triples days. We started a whatsapp group to help us all keep in touch, and met up for tea and cake.
Pam G suggested a ladies' Christmas lunch, which met with enthusiastic agreement all round. So she organised a date, a venue and even a glass of prosecco on arrival!
Lunch at the Summer House
On 10th December, 20 ladies put on their glad rags, rummaged in their jewellery collection for the festive earrings, and met up for lunch and drinks.
The pub was very Christmassy, with a welcoming atmosphere and lots of people celebrating in their Christmas jumpers.
We sat in the conservatory. Lizzie made the effort to join us in her sparkly jumper, in spite of an injury meaning she was on crutches.
There was lots of chatting, exchanging of cards, and a few drinks before the meal arrived. Pam K and Mo wore festive deely-boppers which, along with Chris and Jenny's Santa hats, added to the Christmas feel!
We all had a lovely couple of hours, and missed those who were unable to make it. Let's look forward to more social and bowling events in 2022.
