Another good turnout this week with 24 participants (70% of available players), including two returning new members Doreen & Martin for their second match, and also Angela Merchant for her first competitive match along with an injured but watching husband Steve - welcome to all.
Great early evening weather again, if slightly chilly, saw three rinks of four fight it out for the points; third placed Harold Clarke wasn't available today, but the other top placed players Alan Shattock & Keith Wheeler got drawn together....however - they didn't read the script and got beaten by Wendy Coleman's outfit, including debutante Angela Merchant...that's how that cookie crumbles boys.
Trevor Garfield signed off before his enforced absence with a win, as did John Amos in a close game decided only on the last end on rink two.
In the table Alan Shattock only picked up one point but remains in the lead, whilst Keith Wheeler's defeat takes him out of the top three for the first time in weeks, to be replaced by Kim Wright who now sits poised in third with two weeks to go.
Don't forget to order your fish and chips using the link on the email/blog for our final week, and start digging out those costumes if you want to play in fancy dress on the 21st.
